Hello,

I have a WL-500gx with a SAGEM F@st 908 modem (usb + ethernet)

I installed successfuly the asus WL-500gx and Wifi and FTP work fine

But I can't access WAN, my modem is synchronized, linked to the router via Ethernet but I have the following message at the URL : http://192.168.1.1:80/

Internet Connection Status
Type : Automatic IP
Status: Disconnected
Reason :lost IP from server

I searched for a long time in the forums but didn't found anything. I also tried to desactivate firewall, define filters, connect in PPTP or PPPoE (don't find what to fill in IP adress and subnet) be nothing succeded

If you could help me it would be nice

Thanks

Switch off your modem and router, wait a little and turn them on again (modem first). I had the same problem, the modem wouldn't recognise the router's MAC.

I tried to switch off both but it still doesn't work

I suppose I must configure the connexion in PPPoE but I don't kwow what to fill in IP adress and subnet. My provider give me a different IP at each connexion

You probably need to change DHCP settings on your modem.

Alternatively you can connect a workstation to your modem, check what IP settings it receives and enter those manually in WL-500g WAN IPconfig. (Don't forget DNS)
