Traceroute disabled?

Is there any special reason why traceroute won't work from within my router's telnet window? The lines, beginning with the first one, are just * * * ... I don't remember I set anything to prevent it there. Traceroutes from PCs on the inside works just fine, though.

Can you ping your traceroute destination?
DNS working?

Yes, I can ping the destination. DNS is fine. The only thing disabled is ping from the outside (internet) to my (external) IP, but I don't think that would have anything to do with it.
