Have Olegs FW 1.9.2.7-10 on WL-500g Premium

When logged into the router I can ping the local IP of my printer which is 192.168.1.165
when I am on another PC (192.168.1.100) I cannot reach / ping 192.168.1.165

What is wrong in the config???

Any help much appreciated

Hi,

this is a general IP-Problem. Nothing with the router setup (i think).

Your printer and PC are in the same subnet.
So your PC should try to reach the printer directly.

What is the result of a traceroute/tracert?

check if all your pc and devices are in the same subnet.

I don't have an overview of your configuration ,but i guess
your subnet should be:

255.255.255.0

Also check if a firewall is not blocking connections. Just temporary disable any firewalls on your PC.

Thanks for the replies so far, I have set all netmasks to 255.255.255.0 on all systems. A traceroute from the PC via the router to the printer fails. It seems the printer is not reachable at all.

this is the config:
PC (iMac) (Wifi) -> ASUS Router with Oleg FW (Wifi) -> Printer (Wifi)

very strange...hmm

as mentioned when logged into the router I can ping and traceroute the printer...

It seem to work now, just had to disable island mode in the settings.
