Hey,

I have the option to buy WL-500G Premium V1 or WL-500W. The price is almost the same, but as I'm new to these Asus routers I don't know which one to get.

After some searching they seem to be exactly the same devices except the wireless board (G vs. draft N.)?
Thus it seems like I should go for the WL-500W... or are there any other differences or issues I should know about? Does the draft N. board work well?

I searched that this has been asked before... yet there is no clear answer. And based on the popularity of these two routers the WL-500G seems to be much more used. Is it just because it's older and more common?

For the same price I'll go straight to W (the one I actually I'm using).
All you'll read here about gP is valid for W too.

Great, thanks!

How about the wireless boards, are they both compatible with all sorts of wireless clients or does the other one have problems with certain clients etc?

And does the draft N of WL-500W mean that it will work with the final N standard too?
