Cannot Reset Router

I'm having trouble resetting the router.

I've tried a hard reset by holding the button in for 30 seconds, and the 30/30/30 reset.

I have the WL500G v2, not sure what I'm doing wrong.

I cannot login to the router with the 192.168.1.1, I flashed the firmware and can't get it working. Did I brick it? I kind of doubt thats the case as it goes into the firmware restoration mode.

is your pc in the same subnet?
did you use a cable between the pc and the asus?

Maybe try a ping utility that pings the whole subnet. It could be the asus is on a different IP address than you would expect.
