Somehow with all the rights, i just can't seem to write to the disk.

I got an 200Gig With USB case fitted to the usb FTP server.
It's formatted as an NTFS.
I can acces it from anywhere, i can read from it, but somehow i just can't write to it, not on LAN nore WAN.

I just get the same error: "501 Error in parameters".
While trying to create a diferent map i get error 553.

Does someone know how i can resolve this ??

1: stop sending PM to members to request help. I won't help you just for that!
2: RTFM

Yes, as hugo said RTFM. The keyword is NTFS.

Posting directly to members is considered (and actually is) very rude by members. You should understand that after a certain level of knowledge (that I don't claim for my linux part :p ) people are always asked for their help. Being able to keep a private part by using PM is important to deal with thinks not concerning the forums.

As you seem trully sorry for that, I'll give you the answer:

RTFM mean the answer is obvious, and probably asked many times. It also mean it is stated in the manual.

NTFS is a specific format that is currently not properly written under Linux. Some drivers try to capture the operation system driver to be able to write correctly, but it is not an option for any wl- series, as they use a different processor. The write support is so buggy that it is always disabled under Linux. Your system makes no exception, so if you want to write on your HD, you have to chosse another format, preferably FAT32 for compatibility with a PC. You will lose your data though, except if you use specific tools whose result are not guarenteed.

Like it sais in the FM

Just attach an USB flash disk or USB hard disk driver (FAT16, FAT32 and NTFS file systems) and you can easily set up a FTP server immediately. You can now backup and share files with friends over WLAN, LAN or even when you are not home.

But i'll try it as a FAT32 partition.

Page 59 of your manual, chapter 3: Software configuration, paragraph 4:

The ASUS router supports read/write functions for FAT or FAT32 file systems and read-only functions for NTFS (NT file system)

I'm sure you don't want to dig deeper, do you? :D
