My 500gp has started to provide very low bandwidth over wifi. I have router located alongside the laptop, and the laptop reports that bitrate of 18Mb/s is used for wifi connection, while I would have expected 54. Signal strengh is 85%, also somewhat low. The bitrate sometimes drop even lower, util 1Mb/s.

I have tried reconnecting the external antenna, but that had no noticeable effect. Inside the router, the wire from the antenna jack to the wireless card is not visually damaged. There's just one another access point visible here, and that one does is on non-conflicting channel.

Any suggestions what I should do next, save for getting a new router?

I've played more, and ended up typing "wl antdiv 1" into admin interface. This brought bandwidth back to 54Mb/s. Then "wl antdiv 0" brough it back to 12Mb/s. Since "0" is supposedly external antenna, it probably broke, though I don't understand what in antenna can be broke :confused:

If i do an 'nvram show' it has the following value:

wl_antdiv=-1

Try to reseat the mini-pci card, maybe it helps..
