I've got as asus wl 500 gp v2 and can't get the usb printer hp p1005 to work.

Is there a costum firmware I could use with the printer? What would you suggest?

there is no firmware that supports this printer out of the box. However, the solution for Oleg's firmware is described here: http://wl500g.info/showthread.php?t=4092 It applies also to P1005/6
