Hi,

I was trying to compile the driver for a Syntek STK1160 USB capture device (http://www.amazon.com/EasyCap-Channel-Video-Capture-Adapter/dp/B001M547EM).
Unfortunately I did not get it compiled natively on the asus. I there someone who has a cross compile environment set up and would try to compile the driver ?`Would be a great help !

Here is the link for the driver:

http://weblogs.inf.udp.cl/nboettcher/26/06/2007/instalar-webcam-en-asus/

And the syntekdriver sourceforge project (http://syntekdriver.sourceforge.net/)
With that driver we could use a 4 channel capture device on our asus..

Thanks for your help.

Well, would also be interesting for me. I think of an application to use the WL500g for a low price video surveillance. Webcams cannot be used here, because this application needs extra cameras with IR illumination, which have a FBAS output. I bought a video grabber from an ebay retailer, which is based on the Syntek STK1150. I tried, it doesn't work natively on the ASUS with the drivers provided. Did anybody yet compile the driver or can someone try it? Driver can be found at http://sourceforge.net/projects/syntekdriver/files/ as sourcecode.

Best of all it is start from documentation read:

1. Requirements

Kernel 2.6.18 or higher

So, someone have to make backport to kernel 2.4.x for our router...
