Errors during installing ipkg

I tried to install ipkg but get the following error :

ipkg_get_install: ERROR: Failed to install //opt/tmp/ipkg/ipkg_0.99.145-2_mipsel.ipk
ipkg_get_install: I'll leave it there for you to try a manual installation

A zcat from ipkg_0.99.145-2_mipsel.ipk gives the same error.

I think the file is broken. Can someone help me? :confused:

Well, it was packed with ar instead of tar... Should work now, just type


ipkg.sh update
ipkg.sh install ipkg

if i try to use ipkg i get this message.


[admin@ROUTER etc]$ ipkg.sh update
mkdir: Cannot create directory `/opt/lib/': Read-only file system

is there a error in the setup
i use FW 1.9.7.4
