Hallo

have recently bought the WL500g Deluxe and had two days to work with it in my LAN and WLAN. After i recognized some problems i looked for a community where i can find some hints and so i found chupa.nl :)

My Firmware: 1.8.2.1
Product ID: WL500g.Deluxe

-I set up a FTP server but the upload is only about 400KB/sec?!? i thought USB2.0 is "a bit" faster
Download rates from FTP seem to be ok.
Is there a firmware aviable which makes this faster?

- i recognized that u offer lots of firmwares. But which one fits to my Router?
Is it WL500.gx ? And where do i get it?

Thanks very much

please try a custom firmware, personally I achieved with the original firmware higher speeds than 400kb/sec

url for the files http://oleg.wl500g.info/1.9.2.7-4/

file you should download for wl500gx(now called wl500g deluxe) http://oleg.wl500g.info/1.9.2.7-4/WL500gx-1.9.2.7-4.trx

it's ipv6 tunneling, which I don't like as I should have ipv6 support from provider..

with original firmware you should achieve 1,3megabyte/sec upload/download, meaning that 800kb/sec is not fast..

also wlan speeds should be fine, be sure you use a proper wireless card (asus wl100g deluxe/wl100g or linksys wpc54g for example)

Before ASUS WL500gx i had a NetgearRouter+Linksys WAP54G. This worked fine with my notebook.I had the transfer rates i should have.
