Router keeps resetting when loggin in!?

Hi Asus fellows,

I have a problem with loggin into the WL-500G.
Everytime that i login the router first need to reset voor 20 seconds. What is causing loss of my networkconnections. So remote acces gets very hard then... ;)

Does enybody know what that can be? and is that normal?

I also must type in the password if i am in the router and want to acces a menu like wireless or nat. Again he askes for my password?

So i can configure the asus but with alot of bypasses...

please help out.

ps the ftp still doenst work, even with the same configuration as founded in this forum...

I am the same dude with that ftp user problem... Ik think i'll trie to swap my router because i guess that there is really something wrong. Or you must have an idea?

You could try resetting it to factory defaults, uploading the firmware again and then reset it to factory defaults again.

That way you can start over again, with a clean slate.

Considering what you say here, and what you typed in the 'ftp-problem' thread, i doubt this is a hardware problem. Sounds like a typical PEBCAC problem to me (Problem Exists Between Computer And Chair).

please upgrade to firmware version 1.9.2.7-4 ( http://oleg.wl500g.info )

reset everything to defaults and try again


consider that 1.9.3.6 is a BETA version
