Hi,

I've just flashed my WL500gP V2 with Olegs -10 version and have a problem with USB devices. Plugging in a USB flash drive works fine however both my mobile phone and a USB audio dongle (cheap as chips c-media type) produce the following and refuse to work.

hub.c: new USB device 00:03.1-1.1, assigned address 3
usb.c: not enough configurations
usb.c: unable to get device 3 configuration (error=-22)

I was using this same audio dongle on wl500g with Olegs -7 (i think) version some yrs ago , but the mobile phone is new.

Both items work fine on my laptop (kernel 2.6.28.7)

Can anybody suggest how to resolve this?

I'm trying to get my router to connect to the internet via my phone and also get wireless audio to my head unit from laptop, (Am using this thing in a campervan whilst travelling around Oz!)

try 1.9.2.7-d (http://wl500g.googlecode.com/) firmware. there're new linux kernel (2.4.37) and a lot of patches, fixes and backports from 2.6 kernel, including usb device handling

my five cents ;)

I suspect that, you omit that you have to use external usb hub to plug in 3 devices simultaneously. This is very significant!

Comparation of x86 2.6 kernel branch with old 2.4 on MIPS is incorrect, they are too different.

Hi guys,

thanks for yr input,

No USB hub, this happens when I have 1 device attached.

I will look for and try the 7-D version

I thought the 2.4.20 kernel was very old!

Thanks

Ah, i suspect i shall have to have look into hacking the kernel myself, as My router being a wl500gP V2 is only supported from 1.9.2.7-10.

Hi.
I have the same problem, but with Koppel's firmware (version 1.9.2.7-10-USB-1.71)
Could you give me any indication about how to solve it?
thanks & regards
