Hi,

I have found threads here and followed the instructions how to install mc onto my wl500gp. I succeeded. My problem is, that I'm not able to use it because all I get is a black, empty screen when starting mc.

Are there anyone else who has experienced a similar behaviour? Is there something missing, not installed?

Thanks in advance.
Best regards,

mc -c
or put it in /opt/etc/profile

alias mc="mc -c"

I guess it would be more helpful to add the following lines to ~/.profile

export TERMINFO=/opt/share/terminfo
export TERM=xterm
Then save flashfs and relogin

One more problem with mc.
One day running mc I get mono terminal, another time I get support for colors (the same configuration).

Does xterm mean I can run Dialog Gnuplot or another graphical application one day ?
I have terminal set to basic mono for Gnuplot (menu option selector).
Any chance to have higher resolution , no more ASCII only terminal ?
