Help, my syslog is filled up by dhcp messages as the leasetime of my ISP is very short. Every minute I get this:
Mar 3 12:29:29 udhcpc[127]: Lease of 80.202.221.xxx obtained, lease time 120
Mar 3 12:29:29 dnsmasq[53]: read /etc/hosts - 5 addresses
Mar 3 12:29:29 dnsmasq[53]: read /etc/ethers - 8 addresses
Mar 3 12:29:29 dnsmasq[53]: reading /tmp/resolv.conf
Mar 3 12:29:29 dnsmasq[53]: using nameserver 217.13.7.140#53
Mar 3 12:29:29 dnsmasq[53]: using nameserver 217.13.4.24#53
Mar 3 12:29:32 dhcp client: renew IP : 80.202.221.xxx from 80.202.221.1
Is there a way to stop the router from logging these messages?
I recently turned on IP-Passthrough feature of my ADSL modem. So either there is something in my modem to raise this lease time, or most likely its my ISP that has a veryshort lease time, although I really can't understand why.. My IP hasn't changed the 4 months I have had this ISP.
So I guess all I can do is live with it and perhaps exclude the messages from my syslog? Is this possible?
