In order to play FIFA09 Online, i want to open some ports. The game manual says:
http://support.electronicarts.co.uk/cgi-bi...iew=1&skin=
The online requirements for FIFA 09 are as follows:
* Firewalls
Note: If you have a firewall and want to play online, the following TCP/IP ports must be open in the outbound direction:
HTTP 80 TCP/IP
HTTPS 443 TCP/IP
Peer Game Connection 3659 TCP/IP
Roomsvr 30440-30449 TCP/IP
* The following UDP ports must be opened for game packets, for the outbound and inbound connections
Game Packets 3658 UDP
News Ticker 9570 UDP
I set my computer with a static IP address 192.168.1.222 and, in the NAT/Virtual Server of web admin i made these settings:
http://img201.imageshack.us/img201/2391/portfwoa8.jpg (http://img201.imageshack.us/my.php?image=portfwoa8.jpg) http://img201.imageshack.us/img201/portfwoa8.jpg/1/w946.png (http://g.imageshack.us/img201/portfwoa8.jpg/1/)
As you see i forwarded UDP+TCP, that was not necesary i know, i think forwarding outgoing ports was also unnecesary but i was running out of solutions :)
So -> Restart -> nothnig happens, still the game refuses to connect to 4/5 users. I manage to connect only to SOME users, probably the ones with direct internet access.
When i put my computer IP in the DMZ section the game works well, i can connect with everybody. - so no port filtering from the isp and no personal local firewall issues
Disabling firewall on the router doesn;t help. Stil the same thing.
I enabled firewall logs for dropped packets and it seems everytime i try to connect in game the firewall denies a packet from SOME_NET_IP to MY_EXTERNAL_IP:3659 3659 is a forwarded port, why the packets are dropped?
I use latest official firmware from asus.
Any help? Thanks.
