hi
i have a problem with my lan transfers. im using newest oleg's firmwere asus wl500gP and 500gb sata hdd connected by usb. my problem is when i try to download data from hdd by ftp or samba i got about 1 MB download speed. is it caused by usb 1.0 (i gues this router should have 2.0 as on box) or what? is it possible to get some more? im using stantard config (thanx to wengi and his tutorial).
Thanks in advance for any asnwers.

argh this question is asked over and over again.

well ... it should be faster then 1 MB/s but not much more, dont expect USB 2.0 transfer speeds up to 40 MB/s.
Its a small little device and is not really made for that. The controller probably just cant handle it.
If you want USB 2.0 speed get a full fledged NAS.

btw. my speeds are around 2,5 MB if i overclock to 300 Mhz i can get around 3 MB/s. But this are peeks.

about the same here...
uploading to the router is about 2-3MB/s (with overclock)
and downloading is from 3 to 4.12MB/s
at least, that's what mr vista ultimate 64bit says:p
