I've recently upgraded wl500g router from afficial asus 1.8.1.9 firmware to Oleg's 1.9.2.7-3c and now I can see lots of packets in my network comming from asus. Tcpdump shows:

13:33:33.378437 802.1d config 8000.00:11:d8:56:50:44.8001 root 8000.00:11:d8:56:50:44 pathcost 0 age 0 max 20 hello 2 fdelay 0
13:33:35.379077 802.1d config 8000.00:11:d8:56:50:44.8001 root 8000.00:11:d8:56:50:44 pathcost 0 age 0 max 20 hello 2 fdelay 0

I would guess this is from some automatic routing daemon - which I don't need at all. (Using it in home gateway mode, two wireless clients, two ethernet clients, all on dhcp). Can I somehow disable this?

Thanks for suggestions.

This is STP traffic. To disable it just type

nvram set lan_stp=0
nvram commit
reboot
