someone has a solution for the wep problem with many cards?

would like to run wep 128 bit shared key on two wl-500g connected with wds

wds is running in encryption mode with wep 128 bit, notebook also connects to both access points, but nothing is received from the access point.

wether dhcp or manual ip configuring is working in wep mode

wpa-psk isn't working with wds but on the notebook

so i have the problem that both features are only running without encryption, only "secured" with mac filter

i am sure that i am not the only person with this problem. in other forums i read about the same problems with wep...

and also some people here said so

someone has a solution for this problem?

In "Shared Key System" mode wep-128 key used not only for encryption, but for authentication also. So, if your card drivers does not support wep authentication you will need to set "Open System or shared key" and wep-128. In this case authentication stage does not use wep keys, but traffic is encrypted.

you need to use the generated key not the passphrase and the system is working :)
