I have been having an issue with my WL-500gP, in that any torrent client on my linux box always kills off net traffic, including http. The only exception is using "Bits on Wheels" Torrent client on any of my iMacs. I use a central linux server for Bonjour/iTunes as well as samba and torrents, and would like to run everything from here. I have tried dd-wrt for some time, and recently moved on to tomato, but still nothing.

Does anyone know of any firmware or tweaks that can be done to resolve this issue?

Extra info: I replaced my Linksys WRT54g-DDwrt with the Wl-500gP-ddwrt. No problems whatsoever on the Linksys, just wanted something better.

Thanks,

Elias

Are you forwarding the torrent listening port correctly?

That is, can the external tracker/clients contact your torrent client on the listening port.

Hi sudo,

Yes, I made sure of this. Earlier versions of dd-wrt seem to work better with the wl-500gp. The latest version did not accept uPNP requests. I also made sure that my current configuration (with Tomato) has all the required ports forwarded. I am not sure why one specific client, that is only on OSX, does not create problems.
