Hello

My WL-500gP V2 doesn't recogonize USB drive ZIV 320GB

It is formated with Fat32

works fine with Fedora and Ubuntu linux.

but when I plug it into WL-500gP V2 with firmware 3.0.3.5
AiDisk wizard reports:
You have not plugged any USB disk or have removed it. Please plug it and use the wizard again.

Where to dig?

What should I do to make the disk work, how to mount it etc...?

Thanks in advance

No, it has power supply from USB cable.

the disk is prob. not running.
the asus doesn't supply enough power to power every external 2.5' harddisk (some do, some don't) try to hook up an external power supply to the disk and it should work.

Do you know any hard drive model that work with this asus model?

hmmm.. well.. that's a bit hard to say..

As a figure of speach.... use... bigger quantity, more power..

but that's not all true..

I have a 40 gig, which runs directly... otoh, I have another 40 gig.. which needs an extra power supply to get it running..

It all depends on how much power the drive needs when spinning up...
keeping it running doesn't require lots of juice..
