Hi.
I have a WL500g that I use to connect to internet. My main PC is connected to it over wlan, currently using WPA-PSK security. There are no wired clients on the WL500g. This has worked well.
I also own a Popcorn Hour network media streamer and a Jensen Air:Link 6954 wireless router. What I want to do is get the Popcorn Hour connected to the network by setting up a wireless bridge of some sort. That is, wired connection between the Air:Link and the Popcorn Hour, and then set up the Air:Link to be a humble slave to the WL500g. I want the Popcorn Hour to be able to access the main PC.
What mode do I need to set on the WL500g to do this? Is there any limitations to that mode, like not being able to use WPA-PSK? And what mode do I need to set on the secondary router? (There seems to be similar modes to the Asus, though configurations are a bit different).
I've been trying and failing different configuration combinations for some time. The best I've been able to do is connect my laptop to the 2nd router and get the router to work as a "single ethernet client". Then I've been able to connect to the internet but not to ping between the PCs.
I realize noone here will have the exact same setup but if only I knew what mode I need to set both devices to, it would give me a nice push in the right direction.
