installing usb printer on WL500gP.

Hi,

im attempting to install HP officejet G85 on my WL-500gP.
i read through many guides from this forum and other websites but still in vain.
could someone pls help me out.


i had manually installed the printer on my com.
den re-config the printer port to tcp/ip, raw, port 9100.
when i try to print a test page, from wl500gp status, it will put their printing.
however there is no action done by my printer.

Have you tried this tutorial from main page (http://wl500g.dyndns.org/printing/)?

Nothing more, nothing less (e.g. what is this "user in use: 192.168.1.2" for?)

tt is the status showing frm the router's admin pg.
i installed e conventional way (similar to e tutorial), and tried printing.
the router status changed to printing, and show tt i am printing. but e printer is not printing.
printer is not spoil though... how?

maybe the syslog has errors. look for lines with usb.c (post any errors here)

anything else connected to your usb ports?
which firmware version do you have installed?

If there is anything you can switch off (like bidirectional printer support) do it.
