Which is the best firmware for ASUS WL-500gx?

Stability is very important.

I am using the original firmware 1.8.2.1 and I am satisfied with its preformance (router is much better then the previous router I was using), but as I have seen there are more features with some newer firmwares.

So which should I use?

The best firmware is the firmware which is working for you. I could try other firmwares as well and then choose whatever you like.
If you would like to try custom firmware, then use the latest - 1.9.2.7-3c.
