I have been looking at flashing my wl500w with Oleg's firmware but only because i want the router to act as a better media server. I am on 2.0.0.1 at the moment and i have the media server option checked, this has created folders on my USB hard drive (Music/Videos/Pictures) and my xbox 360 is able to see these folders but unable to see/play anything contained in them.
Would using Oleg's firmware improve the media server side of things?

I have oleg and ushare installed.
I tried installing some other media servers, but somehow, I dont manage to install them correctly.
ushare is rlea easy, but still a bit buggy for some players.
it has an option for xbox360 and ps3, so you might check it out, it's rlea easy:)
