same with ext3 filesystem
Fdisk say:

$ fdisk /dev/discs/disc0/disc

The number of cylinders for this disk is set to 1961.
There is nothing wrong with that, but this is larger than 1024,
and could in certain setups cause problems with:
1) software that runs at boot time (e.g., old versions of LILO)
2) booting and partitioning software from other OSs
(e.g., DOS FDISK, OS/2 FDISK)

Command (m for help):

Another 1Gb (A-Data) pen works right with it.
I can use the Kingston on my laptop without error and error messages (2.6.27 kernel)

My firmware is:
1.9.2.7-10

After unload and load back the usb modules nothing happend.

Thx:eek:

Hello,
i have an issue with my wl500gp and kingston flashdisk 16GB. I'm using Oleg firmware version 1.9.2.7-9. I tried to attach my flashdisk to router, but it does'nt appear. I already tried to format it to NTFS, FAT32, EXT3, EXT2 but no changes. Here's the result of df and dmesg commands:

Also i tried with my other flashdisks (1GB and 4GB) it works properly.

Any ideas?

Try updating your firmware to WL-500gP 1.9.2.7-d-r473 from this link http://code.google.com/p/wl500g/downloads/list , also try to unmount your flash stik and mount it again.

Good luck!

Best regards,

Thanks Renegate! I just got a 16GB Kingston Data Traveler 102 (DT102/16GB) and I had a similar problem in WL500W-1.9.2.7-10. Upgrading to WL500W-1.9.2.7-d-r1222 fixed the problem. I'm attaching a text file containing dmesg output.
