Hello,

ich have the problem not being able to transfer at 100MBit speed.
So I called the support and they told me,

- it is a know problem that the 100MBit LED doesn't work
and
- the 100GB drives are not tested in the WL-HDD2.5.

So I asked him how I could make this thing work, and if there would be a firmware upgrade supporting the LED and the 100GB drive.

He told me, he doesn't know and I should be returning it.

THX ASUS

Have u guys any idear or any experience ?

As far to LED, it's a circuit layout problem.
According to RealTek 8201CP SPEC (http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/downloads1-3.aspx?spec=True&compamodel=RTL8201CP), LED2 for 10M, LED3 for 100M.
But WL-HDD switched these two. Ridiculous? Yes, but it happened.
So now you can see WL-HDD GREEN indicates 10M, while YELLOW indicates 100M

transfer at 100MBit speedNo, you won't get 100 mbps. With a regular 100 mbps LAN you get 8 to 10 MB/sec. If you check here you see that the most speed you can get is 2 MB/sec. Better than 10 mbps, which is only 0.8 MB/sec. realized throughput.

My Device always show the orange LED at Ethernet connector, in accordance to the manual this would mean only connected at 10Mbit not 100. Or is the manual wrong and I have 100Mbit ?
