Hello to All,

i have tried the Search Engine but i dont find really a Answer (i only mean That)
I want to Buy a ASUS WL500G Router in Germany.
I have a Acer Notebook Travelmate LCI291 with normal 11Mbit Mini PCI Card.
Now i want upgrade my Acer with a 54Mbit Mini Pci Card, which Modell i can use for this ?? Witch Cards works with ASUS Wl500G ??

Maybe this (http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=3710&item=6741159089&rd=1)

Many thanks...

personally I had some problems with such ISL (intersil/prism54g) but perhaps that particulair card is broken as I believe Oleg has good experiences with it

Well, this one should be fine, also it should work with Linux too.
You could also consider buying broadcom based card to use afterburner/speedbooster "125Mbps" technology.

Could you suggest some manufacturer of broadcom mini-pci card with afterburner support?

Thanks.

I guess Asus wl120g (but you need to buy card, which was manufactured recently).
Probably other vendors (linksys, buffalo, belkin, trendware) ships them, but I've no idea of the exact model names.

Ok... But I think that all these models are built in AP. They aren't sold separatly. Is it correct?

I'm running with Intel 2200BG on a Compaq Pressario X1005ea...
I've bought this card to upgrade from 11b mode to 54g...
I'm very satisfied using fw 8.1.0.28 from intel.

The card cost only 30€ few month ago... but do not support afterburner :(
