Hii all,
I plan to buy this WL-HDD2.5 but as I pull the spec from ASUS website,
I'm really disappointed seeing max HD supported only 40GB
Is it really true ???

Hi dony71,

nop, it's not true anymore.
With firmware > 1.2.3.0 the limitation is 80GB per partition.
With four possible partitions this will get you up to 320GB on the HDD which to my knowledge is not available yet on a 2,5" device. ;)

Cheers,
Pepe

The old firmware support larger hdd than 40gb. 40gb is only the limitation of a partition. if you use the old firmware with a larger hdd, you must create more than one partition. Alternatively you can flash the new 1.2.3.0 firmware, which supports partitions up to 160gb.

Are you sure about the 160GB?
I tought it was just 80GB for each partition.
Is there anything documended somewhere?

Ciao,
Pepe

Interesting, I'm running firmware 1.2.3.4

I'm able to connect and access my 200g USB HDD and share it without issue. It's one big parition and I'm not having any problems with it at all.
