Hi,
I have 2 routers. One (WL-500gP, let's call it WL1) is connected to Internet, second one (WL-520GC, call it W2) should be connected wirelessly to W1.
Structure of network looks like that:
Internet -> WL1 -> wires -> computers (that already works)
Internet -> WL1 -> wireless -> WL2 -> wires -> computers
Routers have these settings:
WL1:
IP address: 192.168.1.1
AP Mode: hybrid
DHCP server enabled
WL2:
Wireless -> Interface: settings are same as WL1
IP address: 192.168.1.100
AP Mode: hybrid
DHCP server disabled
Question: Is this setting correct?
Tomorrow I will put these router to immediate vicinity and play with them, but I want to be prepared, not to try setting them up by brute force :) I have read some articles about it but I am bit confused. One article says DHCP of WL2 should be disabled, another one says it should be enabled and so on...
Thanks for any help.
Kind regards,
aldo
