Hi all,

First I want to said thanks to Oleg for his work (passion) for the routers ! :)

Second: for my WL-500W I try to use 2 firmware from Oleg: 1.9.2.7-10 and 1.9.2.7-9 . The update was ok and the network setting was without problems (I set manually all necessary steps).

My LAN works great. But the problem is with WAN :(. My external connection is pppoe.
With bought firmware router the external connection are stacked in same place. I try to start manual connection and the same happened. The power, WAN, LAN, Air led are flashing correctly. The connection speed with WAN is on auto negotiating.

Can see in this is the log where is the stuck point:

hmm... looks weird indeed...
did you reset to factory defaults after you flashed a different fw?

I think you also might find more help in the WL-500gP part of this forum, I don't have experience with pppoe.

what I do see is, that your ip adress is different with the firmwares...
did you noticed that too? that might be the problem, and you may need too set it manually:)

Thank you WPTE !

I found in WL-500gP forum area 2 helpfully threads: http://wl500g.info/showthread.php?t=14257 and http://wl500g.info/showthread.php?t=14007

Based on that I set "PPPoE Idle Disconnect Time to 0" and my connection to WAN is perfect !

I'm happy now !!! :D

Thank's Oleg and all the others.

P.S. Now I should learn some linux !
