Well... after getting my own intel N card I had some problems described in the forums here...
for some reason I didn't have any of these problems on my old N card from ralink...

anyway, the fix for me is:
go to wireless -> advanced and select 802.11h instead of 802.11d
this most likely fixes everybodies problem:p

I went from a 36% packetdrop to 0%

1501 packets transmitted, 1501 packets received, 0% packet loss
round-trip min/avg/max = 1.2/3.5/128.2 ms

I do have to admit my ping isn't that great and the speed neither, but I still need to plug in my 3th antenna;)

also mind the so called central channel.
the wl-500w uses 2 channels.
the first one is being used by B and G devices, the 2nd one is 2 higher than the normal channel

example:
channel 6, central channel 8
channel 13, central channel 2
etc.

Keep in mind that the router not always picks the best channel, so do some scans around your home to find out wich is the best channel. you simply need a clear central channel for optimal N usage
