Hardware : WL500g
Firmware : 1.9.2.7-3b (custum)
I have to questions. I've tried to search this forum for answeres, but have so far found nothing.
My first question is about the firmware. My LAN consits of four PCs, one of wich works as a webserver for development purposes. For kicks i'd like to be able to call my.server instead of the IP-address it's assigned. I have added '192.168.1.3 my.server' to /etc/hosts. I've created /local/root/.files with the filenames i'd like to be saved when i run the commands i mention later. I have not edited dnsmasq.conf yet because i can't understand why i should. I've run flashfs save and flashfs commit and rebooted my router. When i connect after reboot, all my edits and created files are gone, i.e not saved by my flashfs commands.
Is this a command problem with the mentioned firmware or do I approach this problem wrong?
Second question : If my xDSL modem is turned off when i turn on my router, and the turn on the xDSL modem, my router won't connect. If I for some reason lose connection, I have to turn the router off and on again in order to get connected. The 'connect' button on the STATUS page had never worked. But the disconnect do.... What can be the reason for this?
