Questions before changing the firmware

Hello folks,

I'm a new owner of the 700gE, and I want to stream (among others) mpeg4 files, with help of tools like twonky or others.

My first important question:
Is there a way to let the router load apps or services like twonky, but let the asus interface and management untouched?

If not:
Is the router still capable of the services it has had before? (ftp, printsrv, easy mounting of shares via smb or cifs with windows...)

Is there a detailed HowTo anywhere around, I as no-linux-pro, can set up the router when it's flashed with oleg's or some other firmware with?

oh! You can stop viewing the thread now, everything worked out - I decided to do a jump into the cold water, and I was lucky enough to succeed. :D
