Hello.
Recently my ISP switched to PPPoE. I can't get my ASUS WL 500g Premium (v2) to connect. I've specified username, password [as provided by my ISP], IP + DNS settings should be grabbed automagically from the ISP servers. But it will not connect.
The System log says the following:
Jan 1 00:00:08 dhcp client: deconfig: lease is lost
Jan 1 00:00:16 pppd[94]: Plugin rp-pppoe.so loaded.
Jan 1 00:00:16 pppd[94]: RP-PPPoE plugin version 3.3 compiled against pppd 2.4.2
Jan 1 00:00:16 pppd[95]: pppd 2.4.2 started by (unknown), uid 0
Jan 1 00:00:16 pppd[95]: Using interface ppp0
Jan 1 00:00:16 pppd[95]: local IP address 10.64.64.64
Jan 1 00:00:16 pppd[95]: remote IP address 10.112.112.112
Jan 1 00:00:18 pppd[95]: Starting link
Jan 1 00:00:53 pppd[95]: Timeout waiting for PADO packets
Jan 1 00:00:53 pppd[95]: Unable to complete PPPoE Discovery
which doesn't really clear things up. Any ideas on what might be wrong? Alas, any way to get a somewhat more detailed log?
