What firmware and stuff like that

I am getting my Asus WL-500g Premium on monday and then I would like to know what firmware I should use if i want to:


download torrent
use as a kind of media server for my family (music and movies etc.) I have an external hdd.
php, mySQL, phpMyAdmin


Is it possible:confused: I don't know anything about this router.

I have an old Topcom WBR 611.. it is not fun. :)

Yes you can download torrents! (even with stock firmware)
For media server i ue the programm called "twonky" on my router its very nice but its not free. (need a custom firmware)
MySql is kinda slow i think... i just use SQlite but possible ass well (need custom firmware)
I would adwise you to use the oleg firmware its easiest to set uo with a usb-stick.

But most of your questions are not asked for the first time here, you could use the search engine to get mor information. And you should start with wengis tutorial once you get your router.
