AON adsl speed not working with oleg fw

I bought another Asus wl-500gPv1 because my Buffalo Airstation died :(

With the Buffalo Airstation WHR-G54S my DSL worked perfectly with open wrt. DD-wrt is to stupid for reconnect, because my provider kicks me after 8 hours.

So i decided to buy another Asus because with my 2nd xDSL connection at my parents house the router works perfectly.


But now with another ISP the Asus is not connecting! Or it connects and disconnect immediately.
So i tried DD-wrt but there i didnt get any IP either.
The next step was tomato (which i know that it works, because a colleague of mine has the same ISP + asus + tomato working) and it works now!

The tomato firmware doesnt provide any USB features or IPKG or at least OpenVPN!
So my next step tonight will be trying OpenWRT Kamikaze 2.4 Kernel (because 2.6 Kernel the WLAN doesnt work).


My settings are this:
ISP: AON - www.aon.at
Connection type: PPTP
IP: 10.0.0.140
SUBNET: 255.255.255.0
Gateway 10.0.0.138
DNS: 195.3.96.67
195.3.96.68
+ USER + Password!

I tried the same settings at oleg, dd-wrt and tomato, but just tomato is able to establish a connection!

Anyone knows why or how i can avoid this problem with oleg FW?

Or in which log can i find some errors, etc??

are you using multiuser with pppoA?

I have no probs with my Speedtouch 546 and Asus running Oleg.

No, i am using single user and i have this fuckin old speedtouch 510!

Do you have the same settings and AON as isp? Which version of oleg fw do you use? And can you please post your settings?

yes I have aon and Oleg 1.9.2.7-7g

I use multiuser mode (no 10.0.0.140 IP-Address, no PPTP), which is easy to change even with ST510:

with that you are always on...try it out with the add'l benefit that more than one person can access the internet. Cheers dyonisos

The problem is i have a speedtouch 510 modem and multiuser is not working :(

Maybe i buy one via ebay or sth...


The strange thing is, that with openwrt it didnt work! But on buffalo it worked with open and dd-wrt...

On Asus just the tomato firmware is working..


And which setting do you have on the router when you use multimode?

why is your ST510 not working in MU? It works for most people. ST510 supports MU. check www.adsl.at for assistance.

On my Asus (working as AccessPoint) I have fixed IP_address towards ST546 and DHCP for the clients.

Try using fixed IP-addresses to check Asus behaviour.

The AON hotline said, that from 10 ST510 devices 1 can work in MU mode.

The biggest problem is, that i cannot enter any username or password in the webgui. So i dont think that my firmware supports MU.

You know where to get valid AON firmwares for the ST510 device?

it should be possible to hard reset the ST510 for factory settings. check with www.adsl.at also for latest ST510 firmware.
