Hey everyone,
I'm new to the forums. I just picked up a WL-500W and already have flashed DD-WRT v24-SP1 mega to it. I didn't even use the stock firmware at all.

I wanted to know if there is a better firmware to use? Because the Wl-500W is not fully supported by dd-wrt yet. It is "generic build" that I am using.

The reason I ask is because I wish to use features like the NAS, USB printer sharing, and even the download manager if possible but I want to retain the advanced features of dd-wrt.

Thanks in advanced :)

OR is there a tutorial somewhere with step by step instructions for adding support for those options in dd-wrt.

dd-wrt should be able to handle ipkg...
but the only thing I like about dd-wrt is the settings, after that I didn't saw any options:(

might check out olegs firmware or openwrt
but stay away from tomato, it killed my last router for some reason:confused:
