I have a 120gb external harddrive connected to the usb port on my wl-g00g, set up as a ftp-server. all the computers on the lokal network are able to log on, this is working perfectly. ftp://192.168.1.1 is what i type to log in. but when i'm trying to log on outside the router, i don't have the permission. i type ftp://83.108.186.177, this is my official ip-adress. i have enabled wirtual server in the router setup with this settings:
port range: 20:21, local ip: 192.168.1.1, protocol: both. but i still have no permission to log on the ftp-server outside the router. do i need some other software or shoud it be possible to fix this? do anyone have any tip for me? maybe i miss some other settings. i have tried to deactivate the wl-500g firewall.

You will find a way but short , you need to edit post-firewall not forward a port to 192.168..1
