Can I configure my WL-500qP as a dumb switch, so without the NAS?

I already have a ADSL modem/NAS router with WiFi. This also will be the DHCP server. The WiFi is better located as the WL-500qP. Through this primary router I want to access my other devices attached to the WL-500qP. All devices should be in one IP domain.

Whatever I try, I can't get a connection through the WL-500qP with the ADSL modem or with the WAN. How do I have to set this up.

If I use the WL-500qP as secondary NAS router all is fine, except the backwods connection.

If I use a regular switch all connections are fine, but I don't have the the printer port of the WL-500qP.

I don't really understand what the system setups as Router or as Access Point do. Can I still use the WAN port of the WL-500qP?

Hi,

set it up as an access point,
disable the wifi,
set the gateway ip in the ip-settings to the ip of your other router,
than you should be fine.

I have been away for a while, so only just now I implemented this.

Just to know: Turn off the automatic IP.
Enter an IP number for you WL-500 in the range your primary router can handle.
Fill in the IP of you primary router for the gateway.

Restart you WL-500g and repair the internet connection of your computers (they also will get a new IP address).

Thanks Raas!
