Everytime I restart my computer I have to fill in my WEP keys in the config tab of my wlan card settings. I assume that not saving these keys is not intentional, so does anyone know why these keys are not being stored or how to make sure that it will be stored?
Would be helpful to tell us what type of card you use and how you have configured it (windows or vendor tools)

I'm using the ASUS WL-138G wireless card ans using solely the vendor software (Asus Control Center).
So, which part is loosing settings? wl500g or wl138g?
Sounds like the WL138G loosing settings.
I don't know how the Control Center works, but normally you can set a profile that gets used first before the wireless card will try to discover wireless networks.
Are you sure you saved a profile?
I think that the "problem" is the key rotation interval
When i set this option on the router each time my ibook asked for a new password (this because if the device is off for a time longer than the key rotation interval, it doen't know the new key)
I decided to disable it and now works everyday with no problems
