How do I send syslog messages to a machine on the LAN?

Newbie and Linux dumme here.

How do I forward syslog messages to a separate machine? I reckon I have to edit a inti-script somewhere, but where? And I guess how...?

And a second question if I may.
What is the easiest way of finding out which computers are currently using my network? I guess I'm looking for a real-time overview of the current network traffic. Any ideas? And if you have, step by step instructions on how to set it up would be greatly appreciated. Remember: Linux-dummy...

:eek: RTFM! You don't need to be a Linux guru to read manuals & use Google... :)
Just set Remote Log Server address (IP Config - Miscellaneous).
Use Syslog daemon on another machine.

Ad second question - I am not sure what do you mean. A wireless LAN network statistics for every connected client? Something like WeWiMo (http://www.mobilnews.cz/honza/en_prog_linux_wewimo.php) ?

OK, thanx for your quick reply. And sorry for the stupid question... I guess I just needed to open my eyes. I've been through these menues a million times and I can't belive I missed it. Well anyway..

The second question: I looked at the link you provided (WeWiMo), and that looked real neat, how ever I think it might be a bit of an overkill. What I really just need is to check if some one else is on, and perhaps get a clue of how much bandwith they are using.. So maybe the IpTraf or graphical trafic accounting thing would work..? But if I could use something where I didn't need an external usb device, that would be sweet. Couse I don't really need to store that much info..

Any ideas? Suggestions..
