Hi, I've followed the instructions and installed the Jockyw Firmware 1.1.2.8.
You haven't written anything about it, but I flashed it with the web frontend.
Now I can't telnet on the WLHDD and I can't mount the harddisk (win xp). But I can get to the web frontend. The webfrontend tells me I have got Firmware 1.1.2.8.
I can flash the original firmware (vers. 1.1.2.8), but then I'm only where I have started.
What did I do wrong? -Any ideas?
You are still under normal firmware. Use emergency firmware recovery procedure to flash your Wl-hdd.

Hi,
I'm using the Asus firmware restoration utility.
The wl-hdd has ip 192.168.2.26 and the pc has 192.168.2.5
I tried this:
1. Power On with on/off Butten pressed -> pwr led is blinking
2. starting utility (with custom firmware) -> pwr led stops blinking and the wl-hdd doesn't answer to ping
3. utility tells me it can't find the device
What did I do wrong?
I found a script for Linux (recover.sh), can I use it somehow under XP?

It works just fine, I just thought the restoration utility would tell me so.
I used used telnet to get on the wl hdd.
Thanx

Hi, how do I find out, if I got the jockyW firmware?
Telnet works now shortly after booting, but then I get kicked out and I can't reconnect. I guess I still got the original firmware, but how do I find out?
If you can telnet, you are under the new firmware.
Restore factory default twice, using web interface.
Try again after that
