Hi all,

I'm using Oleg version 10 in my WL-500g Premium V2
Everything seems to work fine except that I cannot copy files to the USB hard drive. I can browse the share folder, copy files from it to my PC, but I cannot copy files to the share folder. It says the disk is write protected, but I set Samba to be able to do both read/write. If I unplug the drive from the router and plug it directly into my pc, I can copy files to it just fine. Do I need to reformat the drive or something? it was formatted NTFS, 750GB Seagate FreeAgent and has been using with my pc before being moved to the router.

Is this a bug? or is there anything else that I must do to fix it? the screen shot of my setting is below. Thank you.

NTFS it's not a linux native file system, that's why. Try to partition your HDD with either ext2 or ext3 file system. It may also work with FAT32, but I don't recommend that (the advantage though in this case is that your files will be visible & you'll be able to read/write them when you connect the HDD to your PC)

Thank you, after partition to ext3, it works.
However, there's a weird problem after formatting.
Partition size: 414.5GB
Free space: 317.4GB
Used: 97.0GB

There are 97.00GB unaccounted for, the drive has nothing in there because this is right after formatted. I know Linux set aside around 5% for root operation, but what I lost is 23%!

I use Paragon Partition Manager to create the partitions. Does Anyone out there have the same problem?
