hard drive idle shutdown

Hi there, I'm new to this forum and have a question that i dont think has ben asked/mentioned

i'm thinking of picking up asus wl-500gx, was wondering does the firmware support hard drive idle shutdown... like if i left a hard drive on the assess point and didnt use it for transfers, would the hdd stop spining after a set time frame?

This was both asked and answered. This depends on the drive itself.
Hitachi/IBM travelstar drives (for laptops) support this.
Probably this also true for other vendors.
