Hi,

I'm using WL500G with FW 1927-2. everything works fine, but, as I'm connected to the web via ISDN router to my provider, NTP synchronize to WWW every 2 hours.

Is it possible to change the delay between two time sync ?

Sometimes NMBD keep the connection alive despite the FW is activated, and only ports 80, 20, 21, 25, 110 are opened. How can I evitate these connections.
I think I can correct this with smb.cfg ....

Thanks for the really nice job,

Sincerely

Oldudu

It looks like the time interval is "hard-coded" to 3 secs and is not stored in nvram.

Speaking of the time interval and ntp requests, the 3 secs is considered a bit "too often" and make bad use of the public ntp servers resources.
These type of devices (routers, voip phones etc) don't need usec accurate time and even if their clock drifts, a check every 3-5 minutes is more than adequate to keep them "accurate".
(If i remember correctly the default for ntpclient is something like 10 minutes)

Default update time is 2 hours.

Hi Oleg,

Is it possible to change this update time ? How could I do it ?

I've search everywhere on the board, without success ....

1 update every 2 hours, with 1 min for every connection/update/disconnection means 6 hours per month ... I know that t would be better if I can get DSL subscription .... but I cant ... :o !

Thank you for your help
