I am a new WL-500gP (Version 1) owner. I've carried out Wengi tutorial "How To Install and Configure Olegs firmware" and it seems to me that everything is working fine. Thanks to all of you for all the useful information that can be found in this forum.
At this point, I'd like to be able to access my router applications, and its USB HD as well, remotely, from the Web (for instance from my office), without compromising the security of my home LAN. For instance, I'd like to acess Transmission remotely to start new torrents, to check downloaded files and so on, and I'd like also to dowload/upload files from/to the router external HD (probably using an FTP Client).
I know that this is possible but, as I am a Linux newbie, I need detailed instructions to do that configuration. It would be fantastic to get a tutorial describing what has to be done, step by step.
Is anyone willing to help me?
