I've installed on a brand new asus wl-500gp v2 the last version of oleg's firmware.
I've actived from web interface the Samba (internal samba not installed via ipkg).
In "Samba File Share" i've selected "All Partition", in "Default Access Level" I've selected "Read/Write" and, finally, I've imposted hostname and workgroup.
Samba doen't work. When I try to find the share from my PC I get error.

I've tried to active the internal FTP. FTP doe'nt work!

Can you help me?

Someone can explain me how I can setup Samba server with web interface.

Tanks in advantage

Have you enabled USB storage in the System Setup - Services section of the web interface?

Yes. USB storage is enabled.
I have defined entry in fstab. At startup the system mount partition correctly.

Any ideas?

The partition are formatted in ext3.
There are 512Mb of swap.

Does't work!

I have deactived internal samba and installed samba2 via ipkg and all works fine...

I`m happy to hear that you found a solution to your problem. Unfortunately I`m still having problems with my WL-500gP V2. See here: http://wl500g.info/forumdisplay.php?f=60

I had same problem with my 500gP. It has been resolved by downgrading to 1.9.2.7-9
