Hello !

Yesterday I bought a brand new Asus WL-500gP V2. After setting the internet connection I plugged my external HDD (40GB, Fujitsu, 1x EXT2 & 1X Linux-Swap 1,5GB partition). Everything worked well until I started transferring a movie (700MB) on the HDD. After 2 minutes the router stopped the transfer and I received a error "The network location is no longer available" (something like this). I tried again but it was useless.

Then I started reading on the net. Many users reported this problem but nobody found a solution until now. I changed the firmware (original 2.0.1.2 -> Oleg 1.9.2.10) but it was a waste of time. I still have problems transferring big files on the HDD.

Today I changed the firmware again with the new beta version posted on ASUS support site. It seems that the router works a little better but when transferring a big file the "Asus box" freezes.

Is there a solution ? What can we do ?
(sry for my english and thanks for help !)

Linux-Swap 1,5GB partition)
1.5Gb swap with 32M RAM - not good idea.

Maybe the problem with the computer's network card.
Try using a different computer.
