WL-500W compatible with EXT3 disk?

My good old WL-500gx probably dead (very bad throughput). I have Oleg's firmware installed on the WL-500gx and have an EXT3 formatted disk attached to it. Can I attach this disk without any problems to the WL-500W and attach it using Samba?

ext3 works on mine. i think it may be preferred for oleg's firmware.
